In the Netherlands, an active search and destroy policy is followed to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. This implies preventing the spread of MRSA, BRMO (bacteria resistant to antibiotics), scabies, tuberculosis and other infectious diseases.  

To maintain this policy, you will be asked to cooperate in a number of medical examinations. This brochure describes the examinations you can expect.

Admission to hospital                                 الإقامة في المستشفى

When you are admitted to hospital, a number of measures will be taken by the nurses and specialists. Hospital staff carries an isolation gown and gloves when they provide you care.

إذا أقمتم في المستشفى للعلاج، فسوف يقوم الممرضات والأخصائيين باتخاذ بعض الإجراءات. سوف يرتدي طاقم المستشفى ثوب العزلة والقفازات عندما يقدم لك الرعاية

There will be taken a few cultures. To take the cultures they will use cotton swabs. 

سوف يؤخذ منكم بعض العينات وتُستعمل مساحات قطنية من أجل أخذها

Nose culture                                                           عينة من الأنف

With a cotton swab both nostrils are streaked.

يتمّ فرك كلا فتحتي الأنف بالمساحات القطنية

Throat culture                                                   عينة من الحنجرة

A cotton swab will be rubbed along the tonsils.  

يتمّ فرك كلتا لوزتي الحلق بالمساحات القطنية

Rectum culture                                                    عينة من الشرج

With a cotton swab, the rectum is streaked.
